fangs-over-heels for Thomas, the hottie vampire investigator who’s
trying to track down my attacker. I just can’t give my heart to
someone who secretly wants to run a stake through it. I have to
protect myself from mortals and vampires. It’s not just my
life at stake here—it’s my reputation…

I didn't ask to become a mutant half blood vampire my senior year
in high school. I didn't ask to prove my worth to the Undead
community or mean to start a half blood revolution. I just wanted to
be Homecoming Queen. My name is Colby Blanchard and I am the
Defender of all half blood vampires, much to their chagrin.
I was excited about going to college. I really was. The Tribunal set
me up in my own sorority house so I could protect and defend other
half-bloods like me. No one warned me being stuck in a house with a
bunch of chicks from all walks of life with nothing in common except
being Undead would suck so much. Pardon the pun.
Even when I am sent to save two half bloods from imminent death,
they get mad that I am taking them away from their evening beach
parties. Can I get a little gratitude here? I put my life on the
line so they could exist and not one of them is cutting me any
slack.
Thomas, my hunky vampire boyfriend, says I need to unite these twits
but really, they can't even borrow each other's shoes without coming
to blows. And who am I to unite them? I can't even get Thomas to go
to second base, let alone lead my people.
My house sisters don't seem to understand how other Vampires feel
about our existence. That is until one of us is killed. Suddenly,
everyone stands united and we are ready to defend ourselves. But now
we have a new problem. One of is may not be who they say they are.
It's time to put our differences aside and work together to protect
our house, our people and maybe even our shoes.
